. . . to the Rother Valley Branch of the BCSS. We meet on the second Thursday of each month (except December) in the pretty village of Sedlescombe, a few miles north of Hastings. Meetings start at 7:30 with doors opening at 7:00, and we have had a varied programme of interesting talks with speakers from across the UK as well as informal group discussions on general topics such as cultivation. Please see our Meetings page for details of our current programme.
Our aim is to support members in the hobby and to provide help and guidance in a friendly atmosphere. Most of Rother Valley members are relative novices (we have two Juniors too) and we are often joined by members from other Branches and sometimes visitors from local horticultural societies.
There are always plants to buy from our regular sellers as well as from members and even the speakers, and we have a monthly raffle (donations are always gratefully received!) and refreshments at the break. Our meetings are FREE and non-members are always welcome.
We send members an email a week before each meeting and the occasional email in between. Non-member are welcome to sign up to receive them too – just CLICK HERE (you can unsubscribe at any time).
Sedlescombe is just off the A21 and easy to find. The Village Hall is a wonderful venue with plenty of free parking and disabled facilities. There’s also an excellent pub in the village – the Queen’s Head – if you fancy something to eat beforehand.
See our Contact us page for more details of how to find us. Do come along and see what we can offer. We will look forward to meeting you!
